Epistemonikos participates in the Evidence Synthesis Hackathon
Second edition of the Evidence Synthesis Hackathon, held in Canberra, Australia, from April 8 to 10, 2019.
Our co-founder Daniel Pérez and L.OVE Project Leader Juan Vásquez participated in the second edition of the Evidence Synthesis Hackathon, held in Canberra, Australia, from April 8 to 10, 2019.
During the event, which brought together developers and professionals involved in evidence-based work from various fields such as education, health, social sciences, environment, and others, our representatives took part in various open development projects. For example, Daniel Pérez worked on a new keyword search engine, designed as a tool to expand access to search terms and thus streamline the process of creating Boolean strategies when preparing Systematic Reviews.
Additionally, Daniel worked on improving accessibility to data from the Open Academic Graph Database, making the contents (often unwieldy on a regular computer) available in a public online database, allowing access to that information without the need for space or download.
Like the previous year, Epistemonikos was part of this initiative, aiming to showcase the state of the art in technological tools for evidence and bring together those working toward this goal worldwide.
